When I started my PhD in 2003 I was so excited to work as a researcher, but by the end of that journey, I had lost my enthusiasm and ended up graduating into unemployment, feeling clueless and lost about what career to pursue next.
That is why I am on a mission to help scientists launch the career of their dreams and use their scientific training to build a legacy and make an impact on society.

Why I’m doing this…60-80% of PhDs graduate into unemployment.
The biggest reason for this is lack of clarity on the career path they want.
As I discovered when I got mine, having a PhD is not enough to have a successful career.You actually need a career vision, strategy and the right mindset!
I have walked this path myself as a scientist. Where I experimented with careers from project management, swing dancer, science teacher, editorial director and finally coach and trainer. I have tried it all and know which tools actually work, which do not when it comes to career development.
During my PhD I also struggled like many academics today, with imposter syndrome, constantly comparing myself and my achievements with others and never feeling adequate. This disempowered me when I wanted to apply for other jobs outside of academia, I did not believe in myself to go out there and explore unknown territories, the fear of the unknown outbeat my excitement to explore….until the day I shifted my mindset and today I even run my own business living not only my dream career but DREAM life in the sunny south of Spain.
